What a whirlwind these last few weeks have been! Our sweet little London James is 6 weeks old already! I have to admit balancing life with 2 littles is not easy. Mama guilt is a real thing and you constantly worry if you are giving each of them enough love and attention each day. The days blur together and the nights are long but my heart is so full of love and i know just how quickly this season will pass. I haven’t had a lot of free time lately for social media or my blog but I did want to share a few of my favorite newborn photos along with some newborn essentials I couldn’t live without. I cant even believe how much London has changed in such a short time. Those cheeks tho!
Here is a list of all my most recommended newborn essentials:
Solly Baby Wrap– Hands down my most favorite newborn item with both my babies. Baby wearing is a must if you want to get anything done, especially when you have more than one kid. I use mine when i go grocery shopping, or just around the house. its seriously the best!
Swaddles– I love THIS swaddle! It is so soft and comes in a ton of different colors and prints
Halo Bassinet– This is a must have for baby to sleep in. There are a ton of different models, some are very expensive with a lot of features, but I prefer one of the more basic models. Its a savior having the swivel during those late night feedings
MamaRoo Swing– This isn’t really a must have but it sure is convenient to have. London loves the swivel movement and it frees me up from holding her when I’m trying to make dinner or get things done around the house.
Comotomo bottles– I love these bottles!
Uppababy Vista– Absolutely love this stroller. I started out with a jogging stroller with my first baby and it was just way too heavy to lug in and out of the car so I went with this one since it could convert to a double. It comes with the bassinet attachment which is nice for walks around the block and the carseat can easily attach in as well for when you are on the go. I haven’t bought the 2nd seat for Olivia since she doesn’t like to be in the stroller too much anymore. We do have THIS roller board for our toddler that I highly recommend
Dohm noise machine– This is also one of my most loved baby favorites! My husband and I use one and my toddler has used hers since day one. We also got one of THESE travel ones since we’ve blown 2 traveling with them out of the country
Pack and play– we have a very basic one of these and use it for when we travel and also keep it set up down in the living room so I have somewhere to lay London down to change her diaper during the day. There is a newborn insert that comes out for when they get bigger as well
Nursing pillow– I love my nursing pillow, especially in the beginning, to help with support for breastfeeding. I also have THIS lounger that I use all the time when I lay London down in the pack and play. It looks so soft and comfy to lay on!
Milksnob carseat cover– I absolutely love this for covering up the carseat when attached to the stroller but it also doubles as a nursing cover. So you only have to carry one thing in the diaper bag
Blanket– every baby needs their own special blanket. I LOVE this one and the cute leopard print too. It’s so soft and I use it every single day in the car seat, on the stroller and even at home since it’s still a little chilly some days
Monitor– I’m not techy at all my my husband loves techy things and gadgets, so I let him be in charge of picking out a baby monitor. We got this one with our first baby and plan on getting a 2nd one as soon as we’re ready to move London into her own room. This one is not wifi capable which is what my husband wanted so no one can hack into it.
Burp cloths– save yourself money on buying fancy burpcloths and get a pack of cheap cloth diapers like THESE. I keep them beside the bed, at changing stations, in the car, on the couch, literally everywhere. They are easy to grab and when they get icky you just throw them away
Also for the mamas, I love THESE nighttime nursing bras. They are so comfy! And if you plan on pumping make sure to get yourself a hands free pumping bra like THIS one, it’s life changing! And I know I’ve mentioned THESE before but they are the most comfy jammies ever and are nursing friendly.
